Real Estate in the COVID-19 Environment

As things change so very rapidly with the COVID-19 containment effort, we remain accessible to all of our clients to help with any real estate-related questions and needs anyone might have.

Real Estate:
For the health and safety of our clients and fellow agents, we are following the existing protocols for protecting against the spread of COVID-19. We are keeping up with the latest directives from the California Board of Realtors, and the Governor's and Mayor's guidance, while performing our essential services:

  • On March 28, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) updated its list of essential services during the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis and expressly included residential real estate.

  • Governor Newsom’s March 4, 2020 order also includes residential and commercial real estate, including settlement services, as essential services in California.

  • On March 24, Mayor Eric Garcetti and City Attorney Mike Feuer assured strong enforcement of the City’s “Safer at Home” emergency order, which requires Angelenos to stay in their residences in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

We are doing our very best to strike a balance and will continue to actively market all listings.

Open houses will not be held, instead we are doing our best to show properties virtually and and schedule private appointments by video or very carefully vetted personal tours only. Any in-person appointments will be one at a time, and subject to the approval of the owner. We will also be taking extra steps to vet all potential buyers and be certain they are a fit for the property. If you are in the market, please carefully review all photos and video tours online before confirming any appointments and, if one is scheduled, keep an appropriate distance during the tour.

Again, we are monitoring the situation closely and the health and well-being of all of our neighbors is of utmost concern. We are here to serve you and your family in any way we can, and are just a phone call away.

Local Restaurants:

In the meantime, we are also trying to keep our local businesses in business! Here are five local restaurants who are still serving customers with takeout and delivery:

  • Akasha: AKASHA At Home (Special Menu For Pick Up or Delivery Daily) and 50% wine! akasharestaurant.com 310-845-1700

  • John O'Groats: "We are open for pick-up and delivery orders on the entire menu!" http://johnogroats.us/ 310-204-0692

  • Taco Plus: "Still the freshest Mexican food in town! You just can’t eat it here!" http://www.tacoplus.com/ 310-204-2514

  • The Vegan Joint: Natural, organic, non-GMO vegan food. https://theveganjoint.com/ 310-559-1357

  • Want to splurge and try a restaurant that has a three-month waiting list? Try n/naka. They offer a limited number of bento boxes per day: https://n-naka.com/to-go/

Everyone on this list is taking careful precautions in preparing, packing, and delivery, so while we're all staying home, you can still "eat out."
